That looks great.
Your air filter housing looks like mine, circa 1970?
Is the colour it is now painted original?
My housing was a mid blue colour, but when I applied paint stripper it looked to be silver or grey underneath.

Hi Broadsword, the 1438 TC used a gray color, I used "machinery gray" powder coat on this one and I have used paint on others in the past. It looks about right to me.

Needs polished stainless radiator hoses for icing on the cake I think Mark. I have the heater hoses. I'll be getting the radiator hoses soon. Still it's nice and clean!
Cheers!

My engine is now bay finally finished, the overheating was caused by the Chinese knock-off fan that came with the car. I therefore bought a quality SPAL fan that solved the problem, along with a Zircotec coated exhaust manifold that kept the under bonnet temperatures down.

Nice neat work.
I hope you won't mind me commenting, but please be careful not having a cam cover. Aside from the obvious dangers of catching clothing, tools or a finger, if a stone gets flicked up it could cause the timing belt to slip with potentially disastrous results!

Here's mine unfinished...but close.

Hey, that's neat. I thought it was my engine bay when I first saw it!
Re: Engine Bay Gallery! Please add your own!
What color should the engine and transmission be. I can not tell from the pictures. Mine was painted dark red when I got it.
I hope I can get my engine bay looking half as look as these. Great work guys.
Thanks, Larry
