Just picked up a 79 that is in decent daily driveable condition, with a few minor electrical issues that need sorted. I am now in the process of turning it into a clean weekend driver with some Abarth styling.

Yea it's a bit too much green for me, the original color appears to have been a blue-ish-green-ish color. I would like to get it back to something closer to that.

The 1979 model year was the most prolific in the car's 18-year run. It is also the most strangled with emissions controls, but they are easily overcome with aftermarket and prior-year parts. Your car may have already been modified.

Your original color may have been 42457, a popular choice with a tan interior.

Looks great. Green's my favorite color. That's why I bought this one:



I get out to Sin City pretty often, although its been a little while. Should be back there in October. Red Rock Canyon is our favorite spot.

My grandparents live in LV so we get there about once a year and Red Rock is one of our fave spots also.
