Re: best sparkplugs?
I use Iridium plugs with the Computronix ignition. Works well for me.

Re: best sparkplugs?
from what I have read a lot of the newer technology spark plugs are designed to last a lot longer, especially on cars where getting to the plugs are difficult. As far as performance (as long as they are a reputable brand) the normal NKG BP6ES (or the like) works just as fine
Would love to know if anybody has done back to back comparisons...

Re: best sparkplugs?
Platinum plugs last longer, iridium plugs last a whole lot longer. Both of those provided that the engine is running correctly.
A good set of iridium plugs from Denso, NGK, Bosch, Beru, etc, should last 100,000 miles. On an engine that runs right.
Copper provides slightly better spark, wears out quicker.
Correct gap and temperature are probably more important than composition.

.... and that's a very good point (oh how I laughed as I typed that!).... I wonder how many people routinely check the gaps across their ignition components.....?
