I have 2 relays on the inside left fender of my 1979 Spider, which I have no clue what they are for. Looking at the wiring diagram it looks like they may have been for door chime or buzzers- but that's a guess. The wires go into a buddle which looks like it goes under dash. Any ideas would be appreciated. See picture below.
Thx
What are these Relays for?

PO may have installed headlight relays, lo beam, hi beam.
Re: What are these Relays for?
they don't look original, I'll agree that they're probably headlight relays

Do they click when you turn the headlights on? Or what does not work after you unplug them?
Re: What are these Relays for?
You are right some previous owner tried to wire in headlight relays. I said "tried" because not all of the needed wires were attached to the relays. One had three wires going to it and the other had only two wires. Plus, the power wire from alternator to relay was 14 gauge, but the wire to the headlights was the original wire, which is either 16 or 18 gauge. Anyway, I just took them off and rewired headlights as they were originally.
The good news is that I spent a lot of time studying relays and wiring diagrams, so now I'm an expert Next I think I'll try to rewire my big screen TV so that it gets more channels!
Thanks
