Fuel level drops to E. At half tank. Eletrical? Issue

Fuel level drops to E. At half tank. Eletrical? Issue

My fuel gauge works. Changed it out. My fuel level on gauge drops to zero once gauge reaches (Or actual gas level) reaches half .not until I fill to half needle pops to half full. Not gradually moving as it fills.

Is this electrical issue ? Or the fuel sender ? Inside tank . Ground ?

Fuel sender in the tank.
1979 Fiat Spider (since new)
2005 Lincoln LS (the wife's car)
2003 Chevrolet Cavalier (daily driver)
1999 Honda Shadow VLX 600
1972 Grumman Traveller 5895L (long gone).
