124 Owner Again

Post by cento24 »

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to say hello as I have not had the chance to say hello yet. I am a relatively new owner of a 79' Spider 2000.

This is my first spider for a long time, my first car 20 years ago was a 74' 1.8 Spider, I later owned an 81' Automatic 2000.

Anyways, I rescued her from under a tarp and am looking to restore her in original condition. She has joined the family a few weeks back and now keeps company to another two Italians, an 81 Alfa Romeo GTV6, and a 91 Alfa Romeo 164S.

I am glad to join another great forum!

Welcome aboard! You will find plenty of knowledgeable and friendly people here.

Here is a thread on how to post pictures directly to the forum:

And here is another picture-posting thread:

This short instruction covers how to resize pictures so that they don’t get cut off at the right side:

Pictures can be easily and quickly resized using Windows.
You do not need to open the image file, therefore no image viewing software is needed.

1. First find where the image is stored on your computer.
2. Click on the image file to high light it.
3. Right click, then select "EDIT"
4. Click "RESIZE" in the upper left corner of the screen
5. Click on "PIXELS"
6. Make sure that "MAINTAIN ASPECT RATIO" is checked.
7. Retype "725" in "Horizontal" field.
8. Click "OK"
9. Save image, if desired. I put them in parallel folders with “resized” somewhere in the description..

It will now be resized and will show fully and properly on the forum, using standard Windows software.

And here is a link to a map of Spider owner’s locations. Many forum members have listed their locations.

Hello to you.
Lots of friendly help here as roll up your sleeves.

Since you are an Alfa guy,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I have an eye on a non-running (4-5 years) '87 Milano Verde. Any words of wisdom you care to share with me????
