Why does my Spider hate me?

I revised the FI troubleshooting guide:

I doubt you have a clearance issue, sounds like your timing wheels were not set correctly or the timing belt slipped when first run over. I tend to turn these engines over by hand several dozen times before using the starter (and that is without the plugs for a few rotations to get the oil pressure up).

definitaly a valve guide issue, the valve was still stuck open when I got the head off. Machine shop replaced the steel guides with bronze ones and the exhaust valve. It runs good now.
