hello all,
thank you for welcoming me into your community, i must say a very informative and helpful website.
I'm Ashley and I've been given my dad's car (Fiat Spider Pininfarina 2000 1979 I believe), a lovely gem that has unfortunately been hidden away for a number of years so hopefully with the info on here and trial & error I can get her up and running for the reliable British summer.
Rusting and general wear & tear but nothing that should resign it to a lifetime in the garage.
Hello from a newbie as well

Welcome aboard to the best forum anywhere for Fiat Spiders! Just about any issue you come across has been dealt with by someone here. Make sure to learn the forum's Search tool and ask Ask ASK! The vendors are typically helpful, too. Post some pics of your Spider!

Hello Ashley, and Welcome!
The critical items to replace upon awakening are the rubber bits and fluids. Unless your car has previously been converted, all the rubber fuel lines are incompatible with modern gasoline containing ethanol. These hoses and the belts (particularly the timing belt) deserve your attention before driving the car.
