NAPA voltage regulator question

NAPA had a VR they said was compatible with our Spiders. It has 3 wires, green, brown and red. My old one only has 2 wires, can anyone tell me how to hook this up?

I would expect the supplier to tell you how to connect it if it's not a direct replacement
