Hi. My name is Andrew and I'm an active duty Marine. I just purchased an 82 fiat spider. She needs some work to be road worthy so I'm hoping to learn a ton on here and possibly make some connections with other owners. Getting great info already from the many preexisting posts. Thanks in advance for all the help.

Semper Fi,

Andrew

Welcome to ya. I initially had a rustbucket '74 back in the day that was still a lot of fun, although I did have carb issues with it once in awhile. Eventually I sold it, but never forgot the good times. Eventually I ran into a cherry (looking) '82 that was from down south and had been in storage here in Wisconsin for 7 years. Put some $$ and work into it, bringing it back up to snuff and now I put more miles on it in the summer than my other car. The fuel injection is a great improvement that's well worth having because honestly, after sitting all winter, one crank and she fires right up and is ready to go. Once you've got it going you'll love it. Being in the service, I'll bet that you have an auto club on base that'll be happy to give you a hand with your new baby and yeah, you'll find this forum to be a lifesaver with a lot of issues. Enjoy!!! Ed
