Hello, my name is Massimo,
I'm from Toronto, Canada. I have recently purchased a 1982 navy blue Fiat Spider from a dealer in London Ontario. While trying to find a Fiat mechanic I ran into Andy from Andy spider and he apparently imported and restored the vehicle from Georgia, US. The car so far runs smoothly, has minor cosmetic issues but looks fantastic!! I love receiving compliments on her.
My hope in joining this Forum is to get answers and advice on upcoming mechanical issues (I know there will be - being a past Fiat owner). I do have a couple questions because I am not to familiar with all the mechanics of the vehicle.
For example: What is the proper octance level should I get for the car? the car is not turbo. The reason I am asking is because the Fiat did not come with an Owner's Manual.
2) Are there any part suppliers in Ontario or Canada, Shipping from the Us can get quite costly.
Any other pieces of advice would be appreciated,
Thank you -
From my dream to my reality

Hello & welcome to the greatest place on earth
Whoo hoo another Canadian
Gas, everyone has their reasons for which octane etc. I run regular from Petro & Shell with no issues and recently a numerous kinds going to and from Ottawa to Pittsburgh for the FFO
As far as parts there are lots of people that have stuff just not really any Canadian dealers. Always use USPS to avoid the b.s. customs and brokerage fees etc I love http://www.autoricambi.us/, http://www.midwest-bayless.com/storefro ... fid=208227, http://allisonsautomotive.com/
Ask away, plenty of people to help
