1978 Spyder Alternator Wiring Issue
Process of renovating. Purchased new alternator. Old was not on car and wiring needs to be replaced as recepticale and wires are messed up. Wiring diagrams somewhat help but need photos or detailed description how wiring is installed before I blow up a new alternator. I think the alternator is a #15036. Thanks a lot.

Re: 1978 Spyder Alternator Wiring Issue
Is it an aftermarket 95 amp upgrade or a period correct replacement? If period correct there should be a black wire from the alt output post going to the starter cable (the big one that runs back to the battery) and also a black wire from the output post to fuses 9 and 10. The black/violet wire goes from the other alt connection to the tach(battery charge light). Anything else is PO add on.
