One Piece Wood Dash Insert

We're in the midst of a resto-mod on an 81 and the customer requested a one-piece wood dash. We're using all VDO gauges with an indicator cluster from Demon Tweaks. We'll be offering some versions of this dash in the near future. It can be made to use stock Veglia gauges

i'm headed down the same path... keeping stock gauges

120 deep speedo and tach
vegilia battery voltmeter
2nd temp for oil and water
oil pressure
clock

I've abandoned the dimmer (LEDs) and am going to glove box mount the wiper speed.
An extra fan override and fog lamps may go in.
I need to plane it down yet as it's something like 3/8" thick right now

I'm curious what are you using for cutting the wood/material? hole saws are not that accurate :)

I'm interested in one of these. What does it look like installed along with the glove box door?

nice looking dash. cool use of indicators down low. Did you have to do anything special for the alternator exciter circuit?
