What's that they say about the apple not falling very far from the tree?
Only seven more years and she's going to be after you to take your spider out by herself!
Tell her good luck from me.

That is totally cool! I am sure watching her race will be more fun than doing it yourself. Too bad she looks so sad next to her racecar. You are one set of very cool parents.

Awesome!

I got into karting last year, and it's a blast. I'm nearly 300lbs, but my 125cc kart still gets it enough to scare me sometimes. One of my friends got involved as well and got his daughter started (she's 8 and weighs about 30lbs, but she runs the boys down sometimes)

Thanks for the support guys. I was very proud of Amber tonight. She was a bit timid during her practice runs, but during the heat race, a little boy bumped her and it must of pissed her off because the next lap she shaved 3 seconds off her time. During the race, she went up high in a turn and spun out. I was afraid she'd be too upset to continue but she drove it right back on the track and was actually faster. She'll get some more seat time tomorrow so she can find her line. It was a blast to watch the kids on the track.
