I' need new spark plug wires and can't find orange wires for a Spider. Any reason these wouldn't work?

I have in fact fitted a beetle ignition wire set on my '77 in the past

These were sold as VW wires. I had to shorten them but I like the look!

Nice wires. I would only want the coil wire to be a little longer so it could route it along the firewall. Don't like the coil wire crossing over what could be open engine space.

Good point. It does look rather awkward. Move the coil? I've come to love orange. It looks great on these cars. I'm even thinking of painting the dash orange. Real wood veneer with an orange stain might be nice. That fake veneer you see on every Spider is kind of a tired look IMO.
