I went to a car show today and just as I go there there was a fellow who was in a very familiar looking car so I went over there and he was leaving so I spoke only briefly to him. This car was very much like a Fiat Spyder, body same size, similar design, dash sorta similar, wood dash that is with round guages. It had a factory V8!! there was a cat sticker on it I don't remember what he said it was.... he called it a "poor man's Cobra" and said Carroll Shelby designed the prototype. It did have a Union Jack hanging from the hardtop... So who's playing? I would love to do some research on this car!!
Thanks
Name that V8 Very Fiat-like car!

Mark, as always has the answer!! That was it! Wow are they pricey! This one I found for $44,500 I got mine for $43,500 less so I am happy! LOL! There's a 427 Cobra here for $27,000 I am sure it's a kit but it's still bloody fast eh?

I was watching "101 Cars You Must Drive" on Speedvision last night, and they had the MGA (cool car) and the Sunbeam Tiger. The Tigers engine was developed by Carol Shelby with over 200 hp. The show can be downloaded from iTunes under TV shows and Speedvision Channel. Chrysler bought the company and scrapped the car because the engine was a Ford.

Ha! True!
I had one of these in College. A real blast to drive, and friggin scary!
That may have been the poorest handling car I've ever enjoyed driving. Up against Mustangs and Camaro's... They stood zero chance against me in a straight line. With minor tweaking, I was running high 13's at the Fairplex in Pomona with it in the early 1990's... on street tires.
Just don't expect it to do well on a curvy road!
