Dead instruments

Post by Antileon »

I had my dashboard replaced and when the instruments was moved to their new home, everything was basically dead. The side indicators are also dead, but headlights work. The red light in the rev. meter is on ad the quartz watch work.
Fuel gauge, rev meter, oil pressure, don´t know about water temperature. all dead. No light in instruments.
I checked the wiring and connectors. It was disassembled and reassembled with much care. Nothing cut. contacts cleaned.
All fuses under steering column appears to be fine. Car starts fine.
any help would be highly appreciated.
I am not very sharp on schematics.
Thanks

Sounds like a ground wire somewhere isn't connected. Chase the ground wires for each connection all the way to the grounding stud making sure there everything is properly connected and that there are no breaks.
