Fuel pump cutting off right after startup

If the pictures of the AFM were taken with the car off then the AFM is out of adjustment. You can tell by the orientation of the contacts to the little triangle on the "circuit board". At rest the contact loops should orient to the triangle. Running they obviously will not as the contacts turn with the flap. Your AFM also has some nasty contact surface in the rest position.

Given it's already a hack, get it fixed correctly, send it off for repair. It is the most important meter in your FI system.
