Ok thanks. I will check this out and report back. I will also check the wiring on the back of the ECU, specifically on the pin 28 and see if maybe the wire got ripped out or is making a bad connection.

Solved!
Pin 85 wasn't making its ground through the ECU, so rather than swap out the ECU, I ran pin 85 to ground via a new wire.

I like it!
Now time to clean up this wiring I did, clean up the floorpans, and fix my top installation, the hold down cables I had broke so rather than order some new ones online I bought 7 feet of cable and am going to do it myself.

Yep, it's a satisfying feeling for sure. I wouldn't trust a mechanic in my area to work on it and not charge me a lot, and being able to work on the car yourself is one of the most enjoyable things about these cars.
It's my daily driver so it's good to have a car again.
