I am trying to get the windshield washer pump, bag and jets installed? Can anyone let me know how to do the whole system? It looks like my car is a 1981 or 82 car, but with a 1975 title. I do not know the story of it.
Thanks in advance
My 1982 Spider came without the washer fluid jets, are they easy to install?

Does the cowl have holes for the spray jet mounting?

Well I think you can get all the necessary parts from Auto Ricambi or one of the other vendors, and it is a straightforward mechanical assembly. I don't know the details for a '75 but the washer bag types hang on the side of the engine bay with the pump located at the bag (maybe an integral part of the bag?) You can find this out when you order the parts. There are grommet protected holes in the firewall on both left and right vertical ends that the single tubing line can pass through, use the one that correlates to which side the bag is mounted on. The power for the washer pump should already be there, as the car had this system installed when it left the factory. Check a schematic, which you can get from artigue.com and you can locate the wire, which is likely just hanging there waiting for the bag to come home. Then you just need a simple T under the cowl to branch the tubing to the individual sprayers. The Sprayers are held in place by nuts on the backside I believe. Once you get into it, it will not be so difficult! Get the parts together and more detailed questions will make themselves apparent!
To remove the cowl, which you need to do to run the lines and attach the spray nozzles, do a search here on the forum, as there are many references to this, with many helpful pictures. Just be extra careful or the paint will be scratched. Hope this helps.

Re: My 1975 Spider came without the washer fluid jets, are they easy to install?
I don't want to undercut any vendors but the original washer nozzles suck. Instead of a spray or a mist, it's more like peeing on the windshield.
I installed some of these on my Spider and they work much better. I just picked up a second set for my Yugo. They are made by Pilot and sell at AutoZone for $10. The nozzles adjust with a small flathead screwdriver.
You will have to drill the mounting holes out just a bit bigger to mount them. They also have a nut on the backside instead of popping in.
By the way. I have several of those "washer fluid bags with washer pumps". I don't know if the pumps are any good. I'll have to dog them out and check. If you are interested.

So anyone has pictures of how the fuel injected engines have the windshield washer system installed? Can I see some pics. I know they come with a bottle instead of a bag. But where does it go? Any pictures will help a lot?
Thanks in advance

I don't have a pic, because I removed the bottle early on to make room for other items, but the FI has a solid W/W bottle, situated right up front to the left of the radiator on the driver's side. It sort of wraps around/beside the charcoal canister. The pump is mounted to the bottom of the rigid bottle.

Here's my old 81. Bottle is on the driver side front of the engine bay.
