Hi
My spider was imported from USA to the UK 15 years ago. It was produced in 1981 as a turbo. Turbo was since removed and converted back to a single carb 28/32 Webber automatic choke. I am slowly putting in back to its glory days.... Spare Turbo anybody?
By the way I am struggling to remove the window regulator crank. I can't locate the spring clip holding it. Where can I get hold of the tool to do this properly?
Thanks for info.
Gerald

Welcome aboard! You will find plenty of knowledgeable and friendly people here.
Post some pictures! We all love pictures and they help a great deal when trying to help diagnose problems, inquiries, etc that you may have.
Here is a thread on how to post pictures directly to the forum:

And here is another picture-posting thread:
http://www.fiatspider.com/f15/viewtopic ... 12&t=23084
This short instruction covers how to resize pictures so that they don’t get cut off at the right side:
http://www.fiatspider.com/f15/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=30441
And here is a link to a map of Spider owner’s locations. Many forum members have listed their locations.

Also, Auto Ricambi US has the window crank removal tool that you need. It can be sourced elsewhere, of course, but these folks are very highly regarded here on the Forum.

hello and welcome,
the easiest way i have found to get the clip out of the window crank on any car is with a towel,
here is a youtube showing how, works great and you dont scratch your door card

hello and welcome.when i was younger i used a coat hanger, i cut off the long part and bent one end
into a handle"3 inch loop"and just at the other end i bent a small hook, then reach under the handle
and hook the spring.then pull it off.
also get a 32/36 if you can,you will feel a differance.
i have never seen the towel trick but it looks simple
again hello form wisconsin .joe
