California Dash

So I got my dash out yesterday (thanks for the help) and noticed there is a few wavy spots in the dash. Not real noticeable, but they are there. I was wondering about installing the California Dash. I have heard it needs modification prior to install. Any specifics on these mods? Also, I assume the lower center console is not used. What does one do with the heater controls?
