Alternator upgrade new belt size FYI

Post by burlybryan »

I couldn't find anything listed in a recent search, but the (shorter) belt that worked for my car ('82 2000 w/ alt on drivers side) with Mark's 90 amp alternator is size 10mm x 1056mm / 13/32" x 41 5/8". Napa/Gates 25-7410. I think this is one "size" shorter than the stock size.

The alternator hits something on the engine, so it's a bit of a bugger to get it on the pulley, but this one tensioned within range of the stock tensioner and worked out.

Cheers,
Bryan
