What is the best way to clean off all the crud and carbon deposits from the top mating surface of the block, and from the piston tops, prior to re-assembly?
Do I just scrape it carefully with razor knife? Carb cleaner spray? Plug up all the various holes? Lightly sand with 600 and a flat block?
The new head is obviously perfectly clean, but the block needs to be cleaned up.
Thanks!
Pete
