Headlights

Post by ddonate »

The headlights on my 79 Spider were working great . . . until last night. I suddenly realized that the right headlight was extremely dim, while the left one remains strong.

I can only assume the bulb has gone bad. I tried to get access, but I do not see any way to remove the bulb. Does anyone know how to replace the headlight?

On the bottom of the trim ring there is a single screw to lock the trim ring in place which once removed you can unhook the trim ring and then get to the retaining ring with its screws that hold the lamp in place.

I'd say the bulb is fine if it's working at all. You've got a poor ground or bad connection somewhere.

Thanks!

Turns out you were right. It was a loose connection, and not the bulb.
