Hello Everyone . . .

I am a new member -- just approved earlier today. Thank you so much for having me. I recently purchased a 1970 Fiat 850 Sport Spider that was running when I bought it, but blew the head gasket the day I bought it while on my drive home. It bought this car to learn about cars and working on cars. I'm 63 years old and figured "it's never to late to learn." I have not had a chance to familiarize myself with this site yet, but look forward to reading and learning from all of you. At some point I will need to see where to go to create the file that will have my screen name and info about myself. In the meantime, thank you again for this forum and the knowledge and wisdom shared here.

Welcome aboard! You will find plenty of knowledgeable and friendly people here.

Post some pictures! They help a great deal when trying to help diagnose problems, inquiries, etc that you may have.

Here is a thread on how to post pictures directly to the forum:

And here is another picture-posting thread:

This short instruction covers how to resize pictures so that they don’t get cut off at the right side:

And here is a link to a map of Spider owner’s locations. Many forum members have listed their locations.

My first car was a 68 850 spider. A very fun car with that beautiful Bertone body. This is a site mainly dedicated to 124s, but many of us have owned 850s and can help you out.

Thanks RRoller123 and azruss for the welcome and for the info. I was kind of noticing that there were not many posts about 850 spiders, but it is good to know that many of you are very familiar with the sport spiders. I'm sure I will be asking questions, once I get some time to peruse the site. Thanks, also, for the info on how to post pics on this forum. I am a member of only one other online community and their software is very different from www.fiatspider.com, so I have a pretty good learning curve all the way around when it comes to learning about cars. :D

Thanks again.
