Door Wire's (Driver side)

Post by RDSPYDR »

I was working on installing a new mirror on the drivers door as the old was, shall we say slight unusable. The question is this; After removing the door panel I noticed two wires just laying inside the door, what are they for ?

Power windows maybe ? I read somewhere that was an option on that year Spider( 1981), is that a correct assumption ?

Could be. What are the colors of the wires, that would tell you more.

I don't know Pope, I can barely remember being single, but I can't remember any members of the fairer sex I ever wanted to jetison. Now for married guys with a mother in law ejector option. I'd buy that.
The wires that go to the drivers side optional power window motor are black and white. Passenger side; lt. blue with white and white with black.
RDSPYDR, if you haven't got them yet, here is a good source for wiring diagrams for our cars, along with other useful information: http://www.artigue.com/fiat.php
