Hi
Just bought a 1979 Spyder from its second owner : only 60,000 km on the clock . Doesn't seem to need much beyond a little TLC, oil and filter and transmission oil changes .
It seems to be an improvement over the British cars of the same period ; begone Joe Lucas Prince of Darkness !!
Are there any members in Montreal ? Any recommendations for local parts suppliers and a decent competent mechanic . preferably in the West Island ?
Cheers
Maxdog

Hi maxdog,
Welcome! There is a supplier of parts in Anjou that goes by the name of Remo, 514-352-2447. He's useful when you need a part quickly and on the fly. However, Auto Ricambi is the most efficient if you have a parts list and even better if you have a US address. Shipping to Canada from US is a rip-off.
I usually work on the car myself but if the task is unappealing (or if I can't be bothered) I use a guy in 2-Mts who'se no stranger to these cars. I don't have his contact info on hand right now but you can pm me.
There's gonna be an Italian car event held at Chateau Vaudreuil sometime in September (called Raduno Vaudreuil). You should look into it and attend.
Pete will send you info on how to post pictures and also info on placing yourself on the Fiat Spider map----->which I really want you to do

This short instruction covers how to resize pictures so that they don’t get cut off at the right side:
