Greetings from Maine. I've been a Spider owner since May, but it's taken me awhile to get registered on the forum.
I bought a red '75 with tan interior for my wife's birthday. The forum has been invaluable already in helping me solve problems. So far I have:
- Solved starter issue.
- Cleaned up all grounds
- brown wire fix
- new carpet
- new upholstery
- Cleaned out mouse nest in engine cowling (man that stunk!)
- oil change and new spark plugs.
- fixed distributor leak
Much more to do including new timing belt, water pump, radiator (leaking), and solving a number of other oil leaks, but we've enjoyed our "new to us" spider so far and hope to get many years of enjoyment out of it.
I will upload pictures at some point as well. Thanks to all of you that have contributed to the forum. You've made my first car restoration experience a pleasure so far
