FI issues

Post by carlospena96 »

Hi, I have a 1981 spider fuel injected
The problem is, I hear the double relay click-click noises, when idle and when accelerate, it clicks more fast and loud when I put the gas pedal to the floor.
The second problem is when I cold start the car it don't maintain the idle, and dies if I don't give a little of gas, if I put down the gas pedal when is cold it wants to stall, only cold and when is warm is very hard to start, but when it starts, starts good, car run great in road, only the little detail, when it in high rpms (more than 4500 rpm) the car don't go for more, loss power in high rpms

I had similar issues, see this thread:

Although not 100% certain, fuel pump, filter, and double relay were the culprits. I'd GUESS it was the double relay.

+1, As far as I know, and my experience is, that you should NOT be able to hear the double relay clicking when the car is running, accelerating, etc.
