Hi

Post by 78fiat124 »

Hi. My fiancé and I are happy to be part of group. We have a 1978 124 spider. We are Chevy people, but we love our little fiat. We've never had one, so any advice on where to find restoration parts or anything, please let me know. Thanks again for letting me join!

Welcome aboard! You will find plenty of knowledgeable and friendly people here.

Post some pictures! They help a great deal when trying to help diagnose problems, inquiries, etc that you may have.

Here is a thread on how to post pictures directly to the forum:

And here is another picture-posting thread:

http://www.fiatspider.com/f15/viewtopic ... 12&t=23084

This short instruction covers how to resize pictures so that they don’t get cut off at the right side:

And here is a link to a map of Spider owner’s locations. Many forum members have listed their locations.

Thanks for the warm welcome! i'm having trouble finding w to start a topic again, so I'll just ask from here. I hope it works! I am in need of a new panhard bar for my 78. Anyone know where I can get one? Mine has a bad kink in it, and even my mechanic better half, can't get it out. So, I need a new one. Any thoughts? We got one on E bay, but its straight and ours has a curve in it. i need help.

spiderdan,
Yes, they were the first place I went to, but all they have is the bushings for the panhard bar. Thanks for thinking of me!

Yes I did. They only had the rubbers, not the bar itself. Thanks for the help!

Sorry to hear AR didn't have it.
I'm sure one of the members here will find a good used one for you.
Try posting a new thread under "cars/parts wanted"

Enjoy your "little project".
These Spiders are great fun.

So I guess I didn't earn me a cookie...
