32ADFA Choke unloader - Missing

Not sure if this is a problem or not. I have not seen this engine run well yet. I have found a bunch of items that could lead to a poor running engine. I am not sure on this piece missing.


No diaphragm, or push rod.

Rubbish, it just means it doesn't have cold start enrichment and fast idle, not the end of the world.

Rubbish, if you live in Australia.

A choke is very important for colder climates.

And its much easier to handle the car as daily driver.....

Isn't the missing diaphragm (readily available) the accelerator pump? Important piece.

Thanks guys. I will find, at minimum, the diaphragm that fits, but will look to replace all the bits.

The rebuild kit I am using had a diaphragm that looks like it should have gone here. But, it is smaller version around 2/3 of the size of what is needed. All of the other gaskets/parts fit perfect.

I've got the original 32ADFA off my car as well as most of another one.
You're welcome to them if you want. I just have to remember where I put them.
I'm out of town this weekend, but will look when I get back.

We do have winter. I have no cold start enrichment on my IDFs, in winter I have to start it on the accelerator pumps, and it runs like a dog until it gets up to temperature, after that it's quite civilised, and I use it as a daily driver.
