Hi everyone,

I found this forum to be really informative, so I decided to join it! I'm a 21 year old student from Belgium and during the weekends I'm trying to bring my 1978 CS1 back to life. Without prior knowledge (except for welding experience and my car restoring uncles), any tips and tricks are welcome!

I started with a 1980 CSA with everything in boxes, but the body was completely rusted to shreds after the previous owner sandblasted it and paralyzed his arm in an accident. I gave up on it and bought another body which looked in great shape but turned out to be not so great. I finished welding on the floor panels and and restoring the underside of the car, so as of next weekend I'm going to tackle the engine.

The engine is not the standard 2.0L of the CSA, but a Lancia Bèta 828 1.8L block. The car was driven and the engine restored prior to being sidelined, but we'll see what pops up when restoring it.

When I get home this weekend, I'll snap some pictures (I really have to start doing this, there are maybe five pictures of it until now) and post them in the restoration section.
