Hello everyone. Just bought a 1980 Fiat spider 2000 with fuel injection. It is a nice original car with 44k miles and was one owner up until a month ago with documentation. Love the color combo -- Silver with red interior and black top.
Came here looking for advice/ ideas/ technical knowledge as I'm new to Fiats though my Father had a few when I was little. Here is a list of things I'm looking to do with the car:
Replace missing front spoiler/ air dam -- looking for good used or cheap new one
Change wheels to 14 or 15" -- I like the CD66 15" replicas available on ebay
Back date the bumpers with Vick Auto kit.
Change timing belt and hoses -- not sure it has ever been done...
Lowering springs, but don't want the ride too stiff with Michigan roads.

Welcome
I don't know if it was yours, but I passed a Silver spider on Sunday somewhere north of Dearborn!
We have a very active club in metro Detroit called FLUiD if you are interested in joining the community. We also recently hosted the national Fiat Freakout event this summer in Auburn Hills. Hope to see you at some events
