MANUAL QUESTION

Can some of you please give some feedback on what manuals you think are the best to purchase for a 1974 FIAT Spider Convertible...already have the Haynes and it is ok...but has to be something a little more "hearty" yes? Thanks so much for any and all feedback!

the more manuals the better; they all lack something. Add a factory manual and either Clymer, Brooklands or Chilton. Whatever you can find

There are factory shop manuals on ebay all the time.They are copies but they are complete,cheap,and worth their weight in gold.Sometimes the smaller pix are a little hard to see.

yup, grab two or three total, and don't forget to down load a couple different versions of the wiring diagrams... Brad's are very nice to work with. I like my Brooklands and my IAP Shop manual.

then, when you get to know everything those manuals say...it is time to start asking for advice from those of us who've actually performed the specific task you are knee deep in trouble with. Just seems that friends go a lot further than the printed word for some things.

of course, a health dose of auto mechanics 101 does not hurt either.

I am looking for manuals and wiring diagrams for my 77 spider. I like Brad's diagrams, but they don't cover my car.....anyone know of another GOOD source?

I have the Brooklands manual and a copy of the factory manual that Craog references. I also have an original Turbo manual supplement for my specific model. Between the Brooklands and the factory model, I am usually covered on most every topic.
