replacing the timing belt went well, so far....
then the manual says , turn over the engine( by hand) for two complete cycles ...
i've got all the sparkplugs out ,set i neutral, but there's no way i can turn it by hand , am i getting week ? or do i need a special tool for this ? or do i need to release the waterpump/alternator belt for this ?
for the rest i need to adjust like this , right ?

Well.... these are some typicals of my mistakes:
did you put the gearbox in neutral?
do you turn in the right direction?
good luck

Re: hulk needed or trick
You may be getting weak Tappy, but it sounds like you are doing it the hard way. The easy way is with a rachet. Either a 38mm socket on the crank pulley nut or a 22mm on the alternator pulley nut. If you use the alternator pulley nut, put downward pressure on the belt and that gives it enough friction to turn the engine.

the alternater trick i'll trie in the meantime.still need do work on the tensioner(how to) , maybey this time i'll take out the radiator for easyer acces , all the fluids are drained anyway
ancious to see her fire up again . hopefully are the camshaft problem, the distributoroilreternväsnungsring , and fuelleak ,resolved

Re: hulk needed or trick
that motor should turn easily. If it doesn't, don't force it. Try turning it backwards slightly. If it turns backwards then you have some interference occuring

Tappy it should turn verry easily, the spark plugs are out correct? and out of gear of course! I just completed this procedure so it's fresh in my feeble mind!!

The easiest way to turn the engine over is to use the key and let the starter do the work. The other alternative is to use a starter switch to bump the engine over. A starter switch can be picked up for very little at Sears.
The second easiest way to turn the engine over is to leave it in 5th, with the plugs out, and push the car forward until it has gone two revolutions. Either by watching it yourself or having someone else observe it.
The engine won't mind if you turn it over an extra time or two...

Re: hulk needed or trick
I would not recommend using the starter to turn over the engine after changing the timing belt. My dad did that and he never drove the car again. He did not feel like rebuilding the head to replace all the bent valves. But, I would not have the car now if he had done it right.

definitely turn the motor by hand. If you don't have a socket, buy one. There are some tools required if you're going to work on the car. After all, you wouldn't attempt brain surgery with a rock and stick

Re: hulk needed or trick
I have always used the starter (with a remote switch) to do this and have never had any issue. I have done the leave it in gear trick once as well. So far I have replaced 20-25 timing belts on my and other people's cars, maybe not to professional quantities but a fair number.
Either I am lucky or in doing the setup I have never done it incorrectly such that the valves would contact the pistons.
YMMV
If doing it by hand a 1/2" breaker bar of at least 18" length is the tool to use, removing the fan from the radiator will give you enough swing and clearance. If you need more leverage go down to a big box store and pick up a piece of black iron pipe to slip over the breaker bar. A four footer will be more than enough length.
Either way, it shouldn't take much force to turn the engine over with the plugs removed and the car out of gear. Never force something that should be "easy" to turn, it suggests that there is some other problem or interference (a valve and a piston crashing).
