Hello,
My girlfriend wanted to get a little vert sports car such as an MG and ask if I would help her find something cheap that we could fix up. We just picked up a 77 1800 for under $1 K. Needs a lot of work but is running great. Fun little car and it does look cool.

Welcome aboard! You will find plenty of knowledgeable and friendly people here.
Post some pictures! They help a great deal when trying to help diagnose problems, inquiries, etc that you may have.

Your picture makes it look about a million times better than most sub-$1k Spiders I've seen. Good buy!
I will second the notion that you won't miss the MG. Way back when, our family (all of us at VAS) dabbled pretty heavily in them before we discovered the wonderful world of Fiat. Suffice it to say, we have seldom looked back. The 124 is a fantastic car.
