Banjo bolts. Are they specific?

So, my bolts are here and I've reinstalled everything except the brake line and banjo bolt.

I cannot get the bolt to thread to the caliper!
Last night at 11, I just gave up and went to bed defeated.

Is this normal, or should I look at possible defective part possibility???

two sets of banjo bolts from AR. Neither will thread in all the way. The measurement on the bolt seems right, so what am I doing wrong? Should I force the bolts in further. I'm still at least 4mm away from getting close to the crush washer. Could the calipers be wrong? I gave AR the part number stamped on the caliper. Nothing obvious jumped out to them. Typed in the part number and it shows to compatible. I'm so frustrated. Anyone?

Why don't you email or call AR? In my experience, they've been very responsive and helpful.

What I did was add an additional copper washer.

I emailed Csaba and we discussed. I was hoping the second set of bolts I got in yesterday was going to fit better, but it didn't. Im still seeing threads once I tighten it up and the banjo bolt is so loose I could rattle it like a haunted house chain, lol. So, Im sitting here at work thinking I may try to double up on the crush washers and see if that works. Im told that the calipers are correct. The hoses with the banjo are correct. The measurement on the bolts are correct at 28mm. I know if I tighten down these bolts any further, Im going to brake something. To say Im at my wits end is not enough...

So, my banjo bolts. got them out of the old calipers. Tried reusing them. The passenger side accepted the bolt and all is well. The driver side.... I cannot get this stupid bolt to thread in no matter what. These are reman calipers and should be fine, but no matter what, I cannot get the bolt to go in the caliper. Im so close to getting this car on the road, and keep getting help back by something that is so stupid. UGH!

I'll be attempting this again tonight. Wish me luck!

I wonder if maybe the individual or company that did the re-manufacturing drilled and tapped with a thread different than O.E.?
