Hi from Vancouver
Just bought my First Fiat. it is in Ottawa, going to fly out in 2 weeks and drive back. Planning to go south from Ottawa, west to Cleveland, down and around past Chicago and then west to Spokane and up to Vancouver.
Looking for advice on good wrecking yards or other places to visit to get some new wheels.
Car came with two 13" MOMO alloys, but 2 is not enough, so the hunt is on.
Also want to look for some blue interior bits if I can find them.
And of course if anyone has any suggestions of things to see and visit....please let me know
Car has new carb, single plane intake, additional rear sway bar, newish top, new rad, and almost no rust, so I have some hope it may turn out all right in the end.
thanks in advance for all the information I know is lurking in the forum

Hi and welcome.
First off i must say I admire your sense of adventure. That's an ambitious trip in a new to you vehicle. Never mind a 38 year old one. There is a set of wheels on the Sunshine Coast (Vancouver Craigslist). They appear to be Panasport knock offs. I tried to read the date code on the tires from the pics and it looked like they were 12 years old. Tires may be junk but I always liked the looks of the Pano. There is also a set of Iron crosses on CL. You could contact the Vancouver Italian Car club. They may know of something else local. PM me if you want contact info. You may want to call around to some of the local tire stores to see what's available in 13". I bought a set from Kal last year for my Cromadoras but the selection in 13" is getting pretty sparse. You may want to consider swinging through Texas or California and picking up a set of 15" from one of the site sponsor vendors. Enjoy the new ride.

That is quite a trip.
Not sure if Geo is still around at Clemente's auto on Kingsway, he might have some kicking about.
Regarding your handle...I just bought a laser but still looking for an Albacore to putter about on the lake here.
Enjoy and hope it will be trouble free.

Re: new member, 89 Blue, Blue interior
Thanks guys, not really worried about the car,it may break but I will have my tools and it comes with the dealer service manual as well so hope all is good
I looked at the wheels on the sunshine coast but the holes look oval to me. My suspicion is they are modified 4x100 not 4x98
The steel rims on the car are fine, just since it came with 2 mono alloys as well I am looking to find 2 more
Yea the handle is because the wife and I have 2 small mirror dinghy and a 16 ft camping mirror we used for the race to alaska the last 2 years. So sailing dinghy is something to do when not playing with cars
Oh anybody have a recommendation for a telescoping radio antenna? The car cover does not fit with the rigid one up!

Not many Mirror's about. My uncle took me out in his once. Pool harbor 1967 I believe.
When you have a moment, try and post a pic of the wheels you are trying to match.

Best of luck with your new car, wheels and trip. I admire your sense of adventure as well. If not familiar with these cars perhaps do some studying on the trip to pick the car up as well as bring your laptop so people on the forum can help if problem arise. One of the great things about driving a FIAT is most other older FIAT owners will help if they can. Great group of people. Very big network of owners.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!
