Replacement starter

Post by SteveLandry »

My restoration of a 1970 Spider with a 2000 engine is coming along. The drivetrain is in the car and I decided to get a new starter rather than clean up the old one.

So imagine my surprise when I walked in to O'Reilly and for $56.00 and a core, walked out with a gear reduction starter with a lifetime warranty!

Yes, it's made in China. No, it's not chrome. But if you don't have deep pockets, it's a bargain. It sure was a lot easier to install, too.

I think someone at O'Reily likes FIATs...

I have been using the OReilly Ultima Starters for a while now and have found them better than Napa or Advance Autos house brands. Lifetime warranty from a local vendor is just icing on the cake.

I got genuine Fiat brakes at O'Reillys for a good price with core.
