Just registered.. dont own a Spider (Yet)

Shopping around now for a probable purchase in the spring.

IS there any thing I should look for when looking at a classic Spider 124? Any problems that I should see if have happened to any of the cars I look at?

Any years more desireble than others? (I kind of like the looks of the bumperless ones)
