Hello from Southwest MI

Post by Newt75 »

Hi all, Newton here from Southwest MI. Bought my 1975 Fiat 124 Spider in Grand Rapids last year. Finally got her running (enough) and to a show about a month ago to take second place in the 'Foreign' category. I've been lurking on the forum for about a year and have learned quite a bit from everyone's stories, though I still consider myself new to the realm of fine Italian engineering. I still have a bit of work to do on her here and there, rust repair, interior carpet, new top, and a better carburetor are at the top of my list currently.
Looking forward to officially being a part of the forum!

Welcome! We love photos!
I'm using Imgur for my photos. They are a free site and fairly easy to use. You have to open an account with them of course with log on and password.
Then upload your photo to Imgur by clicking on "new post" and then drag and drop or browse for your photo.
Then there are several ways to link your photo in Imgur. I click on "copy" next to the one called "BBCode" for message boards and forums. Then here on FiatSpider.com I simply right click paste my photo into my message. No need to use the "Img" button and try to paste it exactly in between as the Imgur copy has them already.
You can also size the photo in Imgur. Under the links buttons there is a place to select size as in "original, small square, big square, small thumbnail, medium thumbnail, large thumbnail, and huge thumbnail.
Good luck!

Welcome from soggy Seattle. In light of our big rain arriving today and tonight, my 71 remains snugly in the garage. This forum is great as there are so many helpful members. Toss out a problem and you will get advice generally the same day. Everyone is so helpful. Good luck. Bud

Be sure to join the fiat club America and partner up with the west MI chapter. Lots of great folks there. Also Kay from MN you should have joined us in Dodgeville WI at the beginning of the month. We had 40 people, 23 cars from 6 states at F.U.N. aka FIATs Up North.

Btw there is interest in starting a MN chapter in FCA. I encourage you to join and be part of the movement.
