Very nice collection of toys, there.
Didn't the super beetle have a curved windshield?
Curved windshield began in 1973.
I owned a '72 Super Beetle -- flat windshield -- I used to carry an ice scraper for the inside of the windshield for the really cold mornings.

Yup. I don't like the curved windshield look as much,...
Thanks for the nice comments.
Now, my job is to get my Spider back to looking like it did in that old pic!

Todd, It's time to step up to the plate like a real farmer. Get that 1942 B all gussied up and put it in the middle of your front yard as a lawn ornament with a circle of flowers around it.

HA, azruss! "Real farmer",...
Yipes! Doomed to a life of decorating the flowerbed!
One of the requirements in my corral is that everything runs,...and some work hard. That includes the JDB and JD420.
The Camaro was just at show this last June.
The Superbeetle is primered for "Torch Red" base coat/clear coat right now.
My Spider is soon to go to the bodyshop (see "Squashed,...getting fixed" in Fiat Related).
FRANKENTRUCK stands ever-ready (in my small garage) for chores.

Ah,...this is the corral, TX82FIAT. My wife and I have retired, but when daily driving is necessary, we drive the 1998 4Runner:
Image
Keeps my old machinery off the road,...
Although, I expect the Spider to go back to regular driving once it is cosmetically acceptable,...ONLY I will drive it.
Thank you all for looking, and your nice comments.
Todd Compton.

What's REALLY weird, is taking care of all these different machines.
The JDB is magneto, the JD420 is 6 volt. The Mazda is a Wankel. Superbeetle is a dual, opposed 4,...the Fiat, an I4 w/ dbl overhead cam. The rest V8s. Clutches and automatics. Amazingly different designs and systems.
Challenging, but REALLY COOL! Owning SHOP MANUALS is the key,...
All have a good eve,...

Now this is a fun thought,...
my 1998 4Runner LTD turned 20 this year,
my 1988 Mazda RX-7 conv. turned 30 this year,
my 1978 K20 FRANKENTRUCK turned 40 this year,
and my 1968 Mustang coupe turned 50 this year!!
Happy B-day to ALL old cars/trucks! All of them left on, or off, the road. Ha, ha!!
