Cam Wheel Identification

Post by t00nces »

Greetings,

I'm installing a new 1800cc head on my 2L block and have upgraded cams. When the head arrived, there were no cam wheels (as expected) and now I am planning on putting on new ones. The question I have is, how do you tell which wheel is intake and which one is exhaust? Can you use the cam wheels from a 1999cc head on the 1800cc head or does it not make any difference?

From a head-off perspective, should I align the cam wheel holes with the marks on the cam towers or use the cam pointers and align them to the cam wheel holes?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

t.
