74 Fiat 124 Spider

Hey guys, just bought this car, it was running like crud so i decided to scrub the tank, rebuild carb, reset points, new coil, so on. Car runs worse. Not sure of the issue. It starts and misses, and then dies. It seems like my mixture screw iant doing anything, help!

first thing to do is replace timing belt. this will allow you to verify correct cam shaft timing as well as preventing catastrophe if old belt lets go..... its not pretty when that happens!!

after that, double check distributor cap, rotor,spark plug wires and firing order,disto timing.... never assume previous owner had it set up right........

Are you running the dual points still??

a cheap upgrade is a "pointless" disto setup..... worth the money for peace of mind , in my opinion

Is my car supposed to have a fuel pressure regulator? If so where?
