Hi,
I'm new to the Spider. My son and I picked up a 1978 for the great price of free! The engine sounds great, we have a transmission, and we are currently working on the brakes. My question is related to the front bumper. The two bolts on the driver's side of the front bumper are broken off. They seemed to have been threaded into a plate that is welded inside of the bumper. I seem to have a couple of options, cut the steel to get to the plate inside of the bumper, drill new holes in the bumper or weld the bumper in place. Before I move ahead, I thought I would ask others their opinions/experience with this. Perhaps I am missing something. Thanks, Joel
