I recently purchased a ‘75 project car and it is missing the smog pump, as well as the brackets and all other pollution control components
My Haynes manual does not mention any of these pieces - I know that they do not effect driving performance, but in Portland,OR I have to get the car through DEQ ( cutoff year is 1974)
Does anyone have a picture of the smog pump installed? Or a drawing/diagram of the system? Any suggestions for where I can find a used pump inexpensively ?
I’m assuming it won’t pass without it - any Portlanders care to weigh in
Many thanks!

Re: Smog pump / air pump questions
Haven't lived in Portland since 2005 but when I did live there I remember DEQ only required the car to pass emissions and did not require the car to have all of the emissions equipment installed. I passed without having the smog pump installed multiple times back then. You may want to check with them to see if that is still the case.
