If it involves Photobucket, no actually we don't.

I, and many others have given up on Photobucket. Flickr and Imgur seem to be working better. Quite a few threads on the forum as to how to do this. Most agree however, it's a challenge.

Done with PB, moving to one of the others. PB is intolerable.

Re: Anyone know how to post pictures on this site
I have tried recently to post photos from Flickr and Photobucket with no luck. Flickr gives several ways to do it; none worked for me. I can send pics thru Flickr to my e-mail address, no problem. Flickr is currently undergoing buyout to Smugmug - maybe part of problem, or maybe my free upload limit has been topped???

Re: Anyone know how to post pictures on this site
[u]AJ in MA showed me how to use Flickr. I would not have figured this out even after 100 attempts. See his instructions on my conundrum about cam gears 180 off, i.e. from AJ:
[/u]To display a picture from Flickr (that's what I use too) you click on the picture. When it comes up you click on the "Share Photo" link in the lower right. That will bring a pop-up box up. Select "embed" at the top; select medium size; then copy the web address that comes up. In the case of the picture below it will look like this:
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/149410674 ... 721967801/" title="Camshaft alignment5"><img src="https://farm1.staticflickr.com/865/4172 ... 7c2ea4.jpg" width="500" height="367" alt="Camshaft alignment5"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Paste that between the IMG markers created when you click "Img" at the top of the posting window. Then delete out everything that's not the web address. In the case of the example above you end up with:
https://farm1.staticflickr.com/865/4172 ... 7c2ea4.jpg
Hit the "Preview" button to make sure you did everything right and you get ->

Re: Anyone know how to post pictures on this site
I think you'ld find the Imgur site a bit easier.
I upload my photo to Imgur by clicking on "new post" and then drag and drop or browse for my photo.
Then there are several ways to link your photo in Imgur. I click on "copy" next to the one called "BBCode" for message boards and forums. Then here on FiatSpider.com I simply paste my photo into my message. No need to use the "Img" button and try to paste it exactly in between as the Imgur copy has them already.
You can also size the photo in Imgur. Under the links buttons there is a place to select size as in "original, small square, big square, small thumbnail, medium thumbnail, large thumbnail, and huge thumbnail.
Good luck!

Ha, I just finished a 1800 block coffee table, complete with multi-colored lights flashing from the cylinder heads, and can't post it.
It's awesome, even if the wife makes me keep it on the deck.

Remind me again why can't we directly post with out going to a third party? Mirafiori.com now has the ability to directly post from your "Iphone, iPad, etc, etc.

Re: Anyone know how to post pictures on this site
It uses an enormous amount of storage space and would skyrocket the costs to administer the site.

Here's my thread on using Google photos/drive if that's an option for you.

Re: Anyone know how to post pictures on this site
Not quite the case. Take your pic on the answer - its either a) not as expensive as you might think, and Forum.mirafiori.com has access to some cheaper storage, b) forum.mirafiori.com are more committed to keeping the legacy of these vehicles alive and know that a pictorial history is a big part of that and so are willing to suck it up... or c) a combination of a and b.RRoller123 wrote:It uses an enormous amount of storage space and would skyrocket the costs to administer the site.

That is one of the official reasons issued by this site admin. There probably are others.
