Misfiring during driving - '73 CS

Are you saying that the fuel in the tank is the same since June 16th? Try removing most of the old gas and refill with known good gas. Twice, I've had strange problems that were cured by new gas.

I'm not sure is Spiderman fixed his problem, but I had similar problems a while back, and a friend in the FLCWA had the same symptoms on the weekend. Problem was a worn out rotor button - the spring was just too soft to maintain a constant pressure when under load. I think the fix was about $15 from http://www.turinimports.com.au .

I just found a similar problem with my 71. A new rotor button repaired a backfiring and spitting through the carbs that has plagued me since I bought the car.
