There is a mystery part on the new VB i just received. It is the plastic piece on the rod, It is an injected molded part so has some precision, I do not see any use for it being installed. The lip sticks up 0.045 thousandths so I assume it is a sight gauge for adjusting the rod length. Crazy that there is nothing in the box to advise on this mystery part, waiting to hear from the vendor, if I don't will not install it.

Vendor states it is part of the VB and must be used. Not sure of it's function tho.
